2021 candidates to sit for KCPE, KCSE exams in March and April next year
The 2021 candidates will sit for their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education in March and April next year, Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha has said.
According to Magoha, the national examinations will be tailor-made to factor in the challenges the candidates have faced due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking from Egetonto Primary school in Kisii, Magoha and his Interior conterpart Fred Matiang’i said the examinations will be administered a’human face’.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta directed us to ensure that exams have a human face and that is precisely what we have taken into account. So the candidates need not be

The two CSs urged learners to stay calm stating that the government was sensitive to the consequences of the disruptions to the education calendar by the pandemic.
The CSs have advocated for the reintroduction of corporal punishment in schools to curb the indiscipline thas has sky rocketed in schools.
“I am whom I am because my parents disciplined me. We have failed as parents and as a country, we need a national conversation on parenting,” said Matiang’i.
Magoha appealed to all school heads to take action, other than corporal punishment against students who abuse drugs, saying they are empowered to administer alternative punishments.
The CSs called for national conversation on parenting noting that parents have failed in instilling discipline in there children.
“We cannot afford to have students running amok in schools unchecked. We cannot afford to have thugs in schools in the namee of human rights,” said Magoha.
