Murang’a court has issued a warrant of arrest against Kandara MP Alice Wahome for failing to appear in court to answer charges of obstructing security officers in their line of duty.
The warrant which was issued by principal magistrate Anthony Mwicigi demands that the County Criminal Investigating Officer to arrest and take her to court.
The Mp is accused that on 17th June 2016, at Makenji along the Thika-Makuyu old road, she willfully obstructed police officer while on duty.
The charge sheet read ‘for the purpose of gain, she arbitrarily uttered that the traffic personnel were undertaking operations at her mother’s door steps and she being a member of the parliamentary security committee is said to have used her authority of office and demanded that the PSV matatus pass the road block unconditionally thus abuse of authority of the office.
