State House hold thanksgiving prayer service to celebrate Uhuru’s 10-year tenure

State House has today held a special thanksgiving prayer and worship service for the successful 10-year tenure of President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta at State House Nairobi Gardens.

The interfaith service was attended by State House staff from all State Houses and State Lodges led by Comptroller of State House Kinuthia Mbugua and Chief of Staff in the Office of the First Lady Constance Gakonyo.

Bishop Abraham Mulwa of the African Inland Church will delivered the sermon at the service that was also attended by several senior government officials among them Head of Public Service Dr Joseph Kinyua, Gender CS Prof MargaretKobia and Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) Director General Mohamed Badi.

“You’re a victor. You’re all victors. Don’t be held back by your doubters. You’ve done well. Move on with your heads held high, and never be afraid to offer yourselves again for the service and prosperity of your country. Don’t tire,” Bishop Mulwa urged the outgoing Head of State.

Kenyatta is expected to leave office in August after serving the constitutional two five-year terms.
