Ruto appoint Koskei Chief of Staff, Nanok State House Controller

President William Ruto has today appointed former Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Felix Koskei as Chief of Staff while Former Turkana governor Josephat Nanok as State House controller.

Nanok who was once an Azimio la Umoja loyalist, joined Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance during the August 9 election polls.

Part of the roles of the State House controller is to monitor economic trends, gauge the impacts of previous governments and weigh other pertinent issues and write a report to the president.

The controller’s office also develops and manages statewide contracts providing goods and services for state agencies and local governments and also houses the state treasury which processes state payments to vendors and employees and deposits revenue received from state agencies.

The tax collection function is also the role of the State House controller.
