Reprieve for Nyali MP Ali as police arrest terror suspect

Reprieve for Nyali Member of Parliament Mohamed Ali after the wanted terror suspect, whom he stood as a surety, was arrested.

Noordin Hassan Abdallah alias Kamanda was arrested in Majengo area, Mombasa County.

Kamanda missed court sessions on October 4 and November 1, 2021 prompting a Kwale court issue a warrant of arrest against Ali.

The legislator had earlier been summoned to court on October 4 but he apparently failed to show up forcing the Kwale Principal Magistrate to issue the warrant the following day.

Abdallah was arrested in 2019 at Shimoni in Kwlae and charged with conducting recruitment and radicalization of local youths into Islamic State terror group.

He is believed to be an associate of Salim Rashid Mohamed alias Chotara an IS operative who was filmed in June 2021 conducting beheading in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
