IEBC allows NASA to be enjoined in presidential results announcement petition hearings

National Super Alliance (NASA) has been allowed to participate in the appeal contesting confirmation of the presidential election results at the constituency level.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), through lawyers Paul Nyamodi and Wambua Kilonzo and the Attorney General, who are challenging the April 7 decision by a three-Judge High Court bench, today endorsed the inclusion of the opposition party.

Three human rights activists, Maina Kiai, Tirop Kitur and Khelef Khalifa, together with Katiba Institute, supported NASA’s participation during the hearing of the appeal slated for June 6 and 7 before a five-Judge bench of the Court of Appeal.
