Husband from hell massacre 27 years old wife, rape house help in Kware, Pipeline in Nairobi

Police at Embakasi Police Station are holding a former police officer and a husband from hell who allegedly massacred his 27 years old wife before raping their house help in Nairobi’s Kware area in Pipeline after he was arrested days after committing the heinous act.

According to witness account, Susan Nabwire was hacked to death using an axe which his 44 years old estranged husband identified as Cyprian Mukoye used to inflict deep cuts on the neck and to the head before stabbing her in the eyes using a knife.

He will be arraigned tomorrow to face murder charges.

On the fateful night, August 13, 2025, the house help and their one-year-old infant were inside the house.

The horrific tragic turn of events is said to have been preceded by an altercation of phone login and Mpesa details after the husband demanded the wife to reveal all the credentials to him over suspected extra-marital affairs lest he kills her.

When Nabwire protested, Mukoye made good his threat.

“They started arguing and he slapped Susan, asking for her cellphone. He then threatened her that if she wouldn’t give him the PIN, he would kill her,” Philice Makokha, the deceased’s mother is quoted having told the media.

Infuriated Mukoye is said to have home in anger, accusing his wife of infidelity.

He demanded her phone, passwords, and M-Pesa PIN, but she refused sparking a heated argument before degenerating into a full-blown vicious attack against her.

“They fought at night with Nabwire, then he went into the bathroom and brought an axe. He cut her neck with the axe and then cut off her head. Then he went and took a rope and started to strangle her with it; he took a knife and started stabbing her near the eyes saying that he would kill her as she watched,” she narrated.

The house help narrated how the suspect tied a rope around Nabwire’s neck and shoved her body under the bed before turning his rage on her.

“He then told the house help that he wanted to sleep with her, threatening to kill her if she refused. He raped her and locked them with his child and then he fled,” Philice explained.

Trapped in the house with the body and the child, the house help was unable to raise the alarm until police arrived.

Officers broke into the house and recovered the body, which was later moved to Mama Lucy Hospital mortuary.

Nabwire worked as an M-Pesa agent at Machakos Country Bus station in Nairobi, while her husband, who once served in the police service, had been reduced to casual labour in Pipeline after losing his job.
