Duale accuses Uhuru of inciting Gen Zs against Ruto government
The CS said termed former president's remarks as reckless and called on the political class to be a good example to the young generation.

Environment Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has told of retired president Uhuru Kenyatta over his Friday advice to the youths to stand for their rights and fight for what is theirs.
Duale has accused the former president of inciting Gen Zs against the government and encouraging them to cause violence.
The CS said termed the remarks as reckless and called on the political class to be a good example to the young generation.
“It is very unfortunate if we the leaders, current and former, set a stage where we tell the young people of our nation to commit acts of violence and disobedience. It is losing the moral high ground,” Duale stated.
The former Garissa town legislator stated that as a former president, Uhuru should strive to see a united and peaceful country and not set the Kenya Kwanza administration against the young people.
“You had the opportunity to lead the country. Do not incite the young people against the government. Encourage them to keep peace for the stability of our country and not encourage them to commit violence. The future of the nation depends on them and not acts of violence,” Duale added.

Uhuru called on the Gen Zs to continue with the fight against bad governance and fight for their rights.
He said the generation that has kept the Kenya Kwanza government on toss since June last year is the story of the future and their fight is worth it.
“Fight for your rights, Gen Zs you are the story of the future. Do not accept to relax and allow people to take your property. Ensure you get what is rightfully yours. There is nothing that lasts forever. Everything is worth the fight and if you don’t fight for it and it is taken do not cry,” Uhuru said.
Uhuru called on the Gen Zs to stand firm and not allow anyone to take their hard-earned sweat.
“Stand and fight for your rights. You can’t just stand there and let people take your hard-earned sweat. It does not go like that… Fight for your rights and be people who do not fear and you will go far,” he said.
“We do not have the energy now that is why we have relaxed but we are behind you and we will support you. You all have the energy to fight these people,” he added.
