Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua held a private meeting with opposition leader and Azimio One Kenya coalition party boss Raila Odinga at a Mombasa International Airport lounge.
The two bumped into each other on their way back to Nairobi.
“We have tremendous respect for our senior citizens. I was delighted this morning to have a tete a tete with our senior citizen former Prime Minister Rt Hon Raila Amolo Odinga in Mombasa,” the DP said on his official Facebook account.
Gachagua was in Mombasa to officially open the induction of the governors and deputy governors affiliated to Kenya Kwanza, which is taking place until September 18.
On the other hand, Raila was in Mombasa for Mombasa governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir’s luncheon after the inauguration.
