Court adjourns hearing of Gachagua’s impeachment application

The High Court has admitted the adjournment for the hearing of the applications in former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua’s case waiting for the outcome of the appeal which was filed in the Court of Appeal.
While giving the directions, the bench composed of Antony Mrima, Eric Ogola and Fridah Mugambi declared that, ” the orders for the application of adjournment of this hearing awaiting for the outcome of the Court of Appeal is hereby allowed,” Justice Ogola.
The court also gave the petitioners seven days to amend their petitions in their files and serve from today and the interested party to be at liberty for further amend file and serve within 14 days.
The court has also allowed the application to consolidate all files to one.The court will accordingly give the manner in which the file will appear by the close of business on January 27, 2025.
The bench also declared that any application to be filed after today (Thursday) will be dealt with hearing and determination of the consolidated file.
The matter will be mentioned on February 22, 2025 at 2:00 PM to confirm compliance of orders.
