Co-op Bank expose clients to international market in push to access global market in Jakarta, Indonesia

The Co-operative Bank of Kenya continues to expose her clients to international market overseas ostensibly to seize existing opportunities globally.

Earlier this week, the Kenya’s Deputy Ambassador to Indonesia, his Excellency Jackson Onkoba officially opened a Co-op Bank organised three-days conference in Pullman, Jakarta that kicked-off on May 28 to May 31, 2024 for Kenyan investors to learn about.

The key areas the business delegation was exposed to include carbon credit and carbon credit trading in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

“This was coupled with live demonstrations of the carbon markets, stakeholders, regulation and future forecast on the same.” The bank said.

This is the 3rd international conference to be hosted by the bank this year, through its fully owned subsidiary – Co-op Trust Investment Services Ltd (CISL).

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director led Co-operative Bank of Kenya Limited is continually seeking to expose its clients on global and local investment opportunities.

CISL is the largest locally owned fund manager in Kenya, managing in excess of Sh235billion as at quarter one of 2024.
