Co-op Bank and its subsidiary, Kingdom Bank sponsor bible translation fundraising campaign

The Co-operative Bank of Kenya and its subsidiary, Kingdom Bank recently sponsored a bible translation campaign dubbed ‘Run for the Bibleless’ at Carnivore Grounds in Nairobi.
The Run for the Bibleless is a fundraising campaign for translation of the Bible for Kenyan communities that do not have the bible in their language yet.
“Co-op Bank, the Kingdom Bank, sponsored the Run for the Bibleless at Carnivore grounds. The Run for the Bibleless is a fundraising campaign for translation of the Bible for Kenya communities that don’t have the Bible in their language yet. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this cause,” a statement by the bank read in part.
Proceeds from the event will go toward ongoing Bible translation projects, helping to preserve local dialects while fostering spiritual growth among underserved communities.
This year, the project marked the 18th edition and thus far, the program has been witnessed in Eldoret, Mombasa, Nakuru and Nairobi.
Last year, the Co-operative Bank, a Platinum Sponsor of the BTL Run for the Bibleless at Carnivore Grounds in Langata area raised a sponsorship of Sh3.5million.
Run for the Bibleless which was first held in 2008 is an awareness creation and resource mobilisation occasion held annually to generate funds to support Bible Translation, sustainable Literacy and Language Development among the small language groups in Kenya and the East African region.
It is an annual event that brings together both the young and the old. The event which is a 10km Run or 4km walk attracts participants from churches, schools, universities, mission agencies and corporate organizations. For the last 10 years, Run for the Bibleless has grown in leaps and bounds.
Through strategic partnerships with local media stations and via social media, the Run has over the past reached a wide audience within the country and beyond.
In a statement, Co-op Bank expressed their commitment to the cause, thanking all participants and supporters.
