At the same time FKF Education Officer Salim Ali stated; This training has opened our eyes because initially as a region we did not really know the need for data. Data in football is key because it helps us with reference pointers. We lagged behind a lot as East Africa because we did not put into practice the importance data in analysing matches so this technical training has been great. I want to thank CECAFA and CAF for putting this together and Kenya for hosting it and with important tournaments coming through here like CHAN (Africa Nations Championships),it will be a good benchmark for us.”
On her part, Junior Starlets Assistant Coach and CAF Instructor Jackline Juma also echoed similar sentiments:
“This workshop is a game-changer for technical growth in CECAFA football. It goes beyond coaching and analysis, offering deeper insights into the technical aspects of the game.”
With the CECAFA region striving to improve its football standards, this landmark workshop is expected to set the foundation for a more structured, analytical, and competitive football environment in East and Central Africa.
Former Tanzanian international and CAF instructor Juma Kaseja Juma expressed the value of the workshop, “This workshop is essential—collaborating with experts allows one to absorb new insights, learn, and grow.”
