Four athletes among 74 police officers promoted for excellence in their area of specialty, IG Boinnet says
Four leading athletes have been promoted for excelling in their areas of specialization.
Inspector General of police Joseph Boinnet Elijah Manangoi was promoted to the rank of inspector, George Kamworor to sergeant, Beatrice Chepkoech to copral and Robert Wachira to the rank of sergeant.
Boinnet explained the officers had been promoted on merit.
“They excelled in performance of their duties that made the country proud,” he said.
The other officers are from Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Kenya Police and Administration Police.
