Shujaa book date with Fiji, USA in Vancouver Sevens

Kenya has been drawn in Pool A for this weekend’s sixth round of the HSBC Sevens World Series in Vancouver, Canada on 16/17 April.

Shujaa, who were knocked out of the Singapore 7s at the ninth place semifinal stage have been drawn against Fiji, USA, and England.

Last weekend, Fiji returned to the World Rugby Sevens Series in style with a stunning victory where they defeated New Zealand 28-17 in a mouthwatering final to claim the Singapore Rugby Sevens title.

Fiji had missed out on the Seville’s leg played in Spain. Shujaa on the other hand is currently placed tenth on the series standings after collecting 5 points in Singapore which took their season’s tally to 36 points after the opening five rounds.

The second Group has Singapore Sevens runners-up New Zealand who will go up against Samoa, Wales and Japan.

Singapore Sevens bronze winners Australia will face World 7s Series leaders South Africa, Spain and hosts Canada in Group C matches.
The final group has Ireland which will battle against, Argentina, France and Scotland.
