Three guards arrested following the death of a form four student in girls’ school
Polie have arrested three security guards from Komothai Girls Secondary who were allegedly involved in the murder of a form four student from Gathiruini High School.
Brian Mbage lost his life after he was lynched by girls from Komothai High School for illegally entering their dormitory.
The three are expected to appear in court tomorrow.
Meanwhile, police in Kiambu have launched a manhunt for the five students who escaped after Mbage was caught as they seek to unravel the circumstances under which the 17-year-old died.
According to Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), the six boys crept into Phoeb House for an unknown mission, before they were spotted by some girls who immediately raised an alarm attracting the whole school.
“The school’s guards, teachers and students all rushed towards the dormitory to find out what was happening,” stated DCI.
Five of the boys managed to escape, but the 17-year-old, was cornered and beaten up by the group.
The victim sustained physical injuries on the head, and forehead.
He rushed to Kigumo level 4 hospital while unconscious and died while receiving treatment.
However, the mother to the deceased disputed the reports by the school that Mbage succumbed to serious injuries that he sustained after falling from a storey building in the girls’ school.
The school had said the boy jumped from the fourth floor before dying.
