Budding creatives shine at Young Lions Kenya competition

The competition challenged participants to demonstrate their skills in Print, Design, and Digital categories

The spirit of creativity roared to life at the Young Lions Kenya competition, which showcased the nation’s brightest young minds in advertising and design.

After a rigorous judging process, the winners have been announced, earning the opportunity to represent Kenya at the prestigious Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

“We are incredibly proud of the talent showcased at this year’s Young Lions Kenya competition,” said Christine Kariuki, Marketing Manager for Tusker. “Tusker is committed to fostering creativity and providing platforms for young Kenyans to shine. We believe these winners represent the future of our industry, and we are excited to support them as they take their talent to the global stage. The competition, running under the Tusker brand, challenged participants to demonstrate their skills in Print, Design, and Digital categories, pushing them to deliver innovative and impactful campaigns. The jury, comprised of industry experts, was impressed by the exceptional quality of work presented, highlighting the depth of talent within Kenya’s creative landscape.

There were three category winners announced; In Print-Gold title went to The Vibe Tribe pair of Kelvin Njoroge & Mercy Maina. Taking Silver was Kinjal Sheth & Muskaan Shaikh while Bronze went to Schizzo Design pair of Jabez Wachira & Newton Wachira.

As for the Design category: the Gold ticket went to Olive Wangari and Louis Lukata with Silver going to the  Cool Waters team of  Sylvia Mwihaki & Gathoni Matu. Bronze went to Full Copacity duo of Kevin Ikua and Victor Maina.

In the Digital category, Gold winners were Team Just Bold consisting of Allen Onduru and George Omukanda with Silver award going to the Scan Social duo of Martin Sultan and Susan Wangui. In Bronze; Team Sisi of Arvin Munyiri & Bonface Komo took it home.

The gold winners in each category will now embark on an exciting journey to Cannes Lions, where they will compete against the world’s best young creatives.
