KPL Transfer on with a Buzz

The mid-season is getting exciting with transfer action just about getting started even as the league resumption in the top tier Championship gets on tomorrow across different venues.
Rwandan striker Arthur Gitego, currently under contract with AFC Leopards SC, is decided on his intentions to leave Ingwe after two seasons.
He wants a January move and is a frustrated man presently because his current club does not want to release him in what appears to be an already protracted battle.
The 23 year old centre forward who is also a Rwandese International has found competition difficult with the likes of Sidney Lokale and Maxwell Otieno proving a mountain for him.
Meanwhile the duo of Gor Mahia FC veteran players Philemon Otieno and Earnest Wendo have been confirmed to have their contracts extended until end of the season.
Earlier in the week, it had been reported widely that the K’Ogalo team captains would be leaving the club after a collective 18 years’ service but the Management reneged and have engaged them further for purposes of stability and transition. The pair has not had enough playing time especially in the past two seasons due to increased competition.
Exciting Kariobangi Sharks FC midfielder Keith Imbali is reportedly a target for both AFC Leopards SC and Shabana FC.
The youngster has set ablaze the league in recent months with three goals for his side.
He is a former Kenya Police FC player with a penchant for top artistry on the ball often leaving his markers for dead. The Eastleigh High School alumnus is the top scorer of Sharks in the past three years.
Elsewhere KCB FC has emerged as the early frontrunners for the signature of Mara Sugar central midfielder Matthias Isogol.
The moneybags have identified the hardworking midfield dynamo as sure fixer of their pack with the exit of long serving Brian Ochieng.
Since his impressive National Super League show last season, Isogol has been admired by top clubs in the country.
Meanwhile the uncertainty with Gor Mahia full-back Rooney Onyango continues as it emerged that he was not interested in moving to Tanzania outfit Singida United.
Allegedly his current club had already received some transfer fee without his knowledge of the move thus a stalemate.
Tusker FC offensive midfielder Shaphan Siwa on his part is set to leave the Brewers following the expiry of his contract. The 24 year old former Kariobangi Sharks player has now joined Tanzanian outfit Kagera Sugar.
