Azimio postpones Kisii rally to Friday

The Azimio One Kenya coalition has postponed its Kisii county rally that was scheduled for today to Friday in order to allow governor Simba Arati to make proper preparations.

According to Kisii County ODM Chairman Kerosi Ondieki, they requested Azimio secretariat to enable County Governor Simba Arati spearhead proper arrangements for his grand entry to Gusii stadium.

“We have held consultations, and we want to give everyone a chance to attend the meeting. Kisii is home to the ODM party, and we would want to listen to every opinion,” said Ondieki.

The postponing of the rally comes amidst a section of Gusii leaders who had told the former Prime Minister to call off his planned protest rallies in the region.

However, Kerosi termed the remarks made by the leaders laughable, calling for residents to turn up in large numbers to welcome Azimio brigade on Friday.
