Transport principal secretary John Mosonik has accused Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto of insincerity on projects implemented by the Jubilee administration in his county.
Mosonik said Ruto’s attacks on the national government that it was yet to realize any meaningful development project in his government was baseless since has been on the lead in trying to block such projects from being rolled out through court cases.
He said his utterances during a recent public function to the effect that Jubilee was only out doing public relations exercise in the region was ‘hurting’ since several projects had been rolled out even despite his strong rejection of such projects.
Speaking when he officially opened the newly constructed Kipsonoi Bridge in Sotik constituency at the weekend, Mosonik told Ruto to stop advancing his political interests at the expense of services delivery to the people and instead speak the truth.
‘It is wrong for Ruto to criticize the Jubilee government over unfulfilled promises yet he has been on the forefront filing cases day in day out seeking to stop such projects just because of political interests,’ he said.
He, however, pointed out that as a ministry they have tried as much to roll out key infrastructural projects in the county as the 65km Darajasita- Chebole- Dikirr road, 62km Silibwet- Kiptagich road and Ndanai- Gorgor which has already been completed.
