Detectives have arrested six suspects in possession of fake Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) stamps.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Peter Mburu, James Kigera, Frankline M’Mburia, Mary Wanjiku, Titus Ndegwa and Jane Muthoni were nabbed yesterday in different parts of the city.
DCI added that part of the counterfeit stamps included those from the Tanzania Revenue Authority and the Uganda Revenue Authority.
A further probe also revealed that one of the suspects, Ndegwa who was arrested in Thindigua was found in possession of a firearm which was also seized.
“One of the suspects Titus Ndegwa, who was arrested at his residence in Thindigua, was found to be a civilian firearm holder whose firearm a Glock pistol, loaded with 9 rounds of ammunition was confiscated,” said DCI.
The suspects are being held at the Muthaiga Police Station awaiting arraignment.
