The Judicial Service Commission has nominated twenty people to President William Ruto for appointment as High Court judges.
In a quick dispatch released today, JSC chairperson who doubles as the Chief Justice Martha Koome said they had finalised the evaluation process of the candidates interviewed for the positions.
Among those nominated include Gichohi Patricia, Josephine Mongare, Patricia Nyaundi, Diana Kavedza, Sophie Chirchir and Mwaisha Said.
Others are Heston, Nyaga, JOHN Chigiti, Peter Mulwa, Lawrence Mugambi, Gregory Mutai, Robert Wananda, Samwel Mukira, Francis Ochieng, Fred Mugambi and Dennis Magare.
Florence Macharia, Teresa Achieng and Aleem Visram have also been picked.
“The commission wishes to thank all the candidates, candidates and all stakeholders for their participation in the recruitment and selection process.” JSC chairperson said.
The commission said they picked the 20 based on merit, gender, regional balance and affirmative action.
The JSC advertised for the position of High Court Judge on March 14 this year.
