Former Standard Media Group Health and Science Editor Dr. Mercy Korir has been appointed the Business Development Manager at AAR Hospital.
Through a statement, the hospital’s CEO Ken Muma welcomed Korir to the hospital and described her as an experienced health practitioner.
“AAR Hospital is pleased to welcome Dr. Mercy Korir as the new Business Development Manager in charge of business development. Dr. Korir brings with her a wealth of nine years’ experience, four of those as a practicing medical doctor, five in media and health communications and two years in resource mobilisation,” Muma stated.
Korir will oversee the hospital’s external communication and brand positioning, establish new business lines and new revenue streams.
She will be responsible for developing strategic Business Development, Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility plans for the hospital to attract potential clients and retain existing ones.
Korir was awarded the Presidential order of service (Uzalendo Award) in 2020 for her work as a medical journalist at the height of the Covid 19 pandemic.
She is the current vice chair of KMA RNWDT Sacco, chairing its Education, Communication and Marketing Committee in charge of the Sacco’s business development.
