Public Service, Gender and Affirmative Action Cabinet Secretary nominee Aisha Jumwa has defended her honor by stating that the Sh57 million graft case and murder case charged against her as politically instigated.
During the CS nominees vetting at the parliament, Jumwa stated that she has never been in possession of a gun.
“The DPP withdrew all the charges against me. All the cases in court are politically instigated and I’m happy that this country is a country of law,” she said.
“There are three witnesses that so far have testified in court and none of these witnesses mentioned my name. I’m innocent until proven guilty,” she added.
She said that she believed in the two thirds gender rule as outlined in the constitution and will with no doubt execute it as part of her docket when appointed to office.
Jumwa disclosed her net worth as Sh100 million.
Jumwa was accused of a Sh57 million graft case and the murder of Gumbao Jola which the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) dismissed.
