The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) will tomorrow open portals for inter-institutional transfer applications for students placed to various universities, colleges and Technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions.
Through a statement, the State Corporation highlighted there are no placement results for inter institution transfer.
“Those who would wish to change their institutions should apply within the specified period. You just make your application and keep track of where the process is at till its complete,” it stated.
According to the statement, after one has completed and received a transfer letter one is required to send it to the institution that you have transferred to so that they can make you the admission letters of which you will join with the others.
The transfer will be open from 25th July 2022 to 24th August 2022.
The Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha ordered KUCCPS to open its site in May to provide students adequate time to submit their applications, noting that those with a mean grade of C+ and above will be placed in institutions.
“All the 144,466 Kenyans with C+ and above who sat the 2021 KCSE examination are eligible to apply for degree programmes in the 70 universities,” the Education CS stated.
123,963 students with C+ grades or higher were successfully placed in degree programs at various Kenyan universities, while 124,258 applicants were put in TVET institutions to study Diploma, Certificate, and Craft courses under government funding.
16,310 students with C+ or above grades who chose TVET programs and were placed.
