Defending Football Kenya Premier League KPL champions Tusker FC defeated Bidco United 2-0 at Kasarani stadium this afternoon.
Rodgers Ouma and Lawrence Luvanda were on target for the brewer’s.
The Brewers looked comfortable from the first whistle, limiting Bidco possession.
However Tuskers got their real chance came in the 30th minute when Shami Kibwana found his way into the danger zone but failed to trouble the goalkeeper.
With virtually his first touch of the ball, Rodgers Ouma scored the opener off Kipyegon’s freekick.
Luvanda on the other wing picked the ball on the left side of the pitch after beautiful exchange of passes from the brewers. 2-0 full time score in favour of the brewer’s.
The deadly striker striked a belter from range with the keeper only affording a smile as the ball swished beyond him with pace and power.
The win sees the Robert Matano coached side regain their lead atop the KPL table with their hopes of a silverware still alive.
In the last fixtures of the season Tusker will host Posta Rangers at Ruaraka Grounds, while Homeboyz will face Kariobangi Sharks at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega.
In other fixture Kakamega Homeboyz were awarded a 2-0 win after Talanta FC failed to honour the fixture.
In the last games if the season Homeboyz have a home game against Kariobangi Sharks while Tusker FC will entertain Posta Rangers in Ruaraka.
A win for Tusker will guarantee they hold on to their league crown.
