A Superintendent in Charge Operations at Nairobi City County’s Investigations Department was today arrested by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) for soliciting a bribe of Sh500,000.
Moses Munyi Joseph was arrested after detectives carried out an operation that resulted in his detention while accepting the first round of bribes worth Sh130,000.
Munyi allegedly demanded a bribe of Sh500,000 in order to offer security and protection to the complainant in respect to a plot that is in dispute.
However, the bribe was negotiated to Sh200,000.
The suspect was taken to the Integrity Centre where he is being interrogated and processed in accordance with the law.
