Co-op Bank embark on meet-the-customer caravan
The tier one lender, the Co-operative Bank of Kenya has embarked on a routine meet-the-customer caravan in a bid to promote businesses particularly the Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs)
Today, Co-op Bank sales team toured Matuu in Machakos county.
“Ending the month on a high note in Matuu, Machakos county. It has been an amazing day engaging with business owners.” The bank said through a social media update.
Late last year, Co-op Bank scaled up Customer Networking Forums for Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) and Saccos aimed at seeing the bank train its customers countrywide on strategies to grow their businesses in changing operating environments including hosting growth and networking forums for MSMEs and Saccos in Lodwar, Turkana county.
The Customer Networking Forums are a key part of Co-op Bank’s MSME program as it is widely acknowledged that MSMEs need the insights and training on economic matters that have a direct bearing on their business, and which they have little or no control over.
The forums were held across the country notably in Nyandarua, Laikipia and Nairobi counties.
They feature a detailed presentation by the bank economist on the opportunities in and out of the country that MSMEs can tap and the ways the bank is working to enable customers seize these opportunities.
