Kenya on Thursday recorded 184 new Covid-19 cases bringing the country’s total caseload to 38,713.
This was from a sample of 4,700 tested in the last 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health in a statement confirmed 170 were Kenyans while 14 were foreigners.
Age-wise, the youngest is a two-month-old infant while the oldest is 88 years.
On a positive note, 115 patients have been discharged after successful recoveries raising the country’s recovery total to 25,023.
Out of this, 67 were discharged from the home-based care program while 48 were from various health facilities.
Sadly, seven patients succumbed to the disease bringing the country’s fatalities to 718.
The cases reported were distributed in; Nairobi 58, Mombasa (22), Kisumu (20) Nakuru (13), Kericho (13), Trans Nzoia (8)., Laikipia (7), Machakos (7), Uasin Gishu (6), Narok (6), Kisii (6), Kiambu (4), Kwale (4), Homabay (3), Bomet (2), Embu (2) while West Pokot, Makueni, Nandi and Siaya had (1) case each.
