Pupils at Kijabe Primary School in Ngobit ward Laikipia County are doing their exams in the open after four of their classrooms were destroyed by strong winds.
The strong whirl winds destroyed four classrooms and caused cracks on six others making them inhabitable for children.
According to the headmaster Mr Robert Mucheru the damage is massive and the pupils had not finished their end of term exams and they have been forced to sit on the remaining papers outside.
Mucheru said that also affected are the boys toilets and the urinal.
He urged well wisher and the government to come to the schools rescue as they do not have fund for emergencies.
The headmaster noted that though the schools are almost closing for the April holiday there is need for quick action to be taken to reconstruct the school to prevent theft of some of the materials that were salvaged after the incident.
He said if help will not be forth coming it will mean tough time for the pupils once the schools reopen.
No one was however injured during the accident.
