Wiper rebel legislators from Ukambani vow to back Kalonzo

Wiper rebel legislators from Ukambani have vowed to deliver not less than one million votes from the region to Jubilee since the Kalonzo Musyoka led party has disintegrated.

Led by two Kitui County MPs Joe Mutambu ( Mwingi Central) and John Munuve ( Mwingi North), the leaders said the Jubilee party has made inroads in lower eastern region and there is no doubt that President Uhuru Kenyatta will garner more votes than he got in 2013.

”

A political wind is sweeping through Ukambani and going by what is happening in the dominant Wiper party, Jubilee will have many parliamentary and county seats in the coming elections”, Mutambu told a gathering at Jubilee Kitui offices where aspirants were given tickets.

Mutambu said the community cannot afford to stay in the opposition any longer and that is why many members of parliament from Ukambani have opted to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The MP outlined numerous life changing projects especially in water, health, roads and agriculture sector Jubilee government has initiated as he prevailed upon the community to reciprocate the national
government development endeavor by re-electing Kenyatta.

Mutambu cited cash transfer fund for the elderly saying Kitui county is biggest beneficiary as more than 14,000 elders are benefiting from the fund  adding that the service has drastically changed the
lifestyles of the aged to be better.

”

Kenyans have made a resolve that Opposition leader Raila Odinga will never rule this Country and have rejected him three times yet Kalonzo  Musyoka keeps on following him. For how long will he fool our community to follow this man”, asked Mutambu.

Mutambu faulted leaders who still believe Wiper is the party to beat in August elections asserting that going by the concluded primaries, there will be surprises as majority seats will go to Jubilee,
independents and other small parties.

”

When we decamped to Jubilee, some leaders in the region thought there was something wrong with us but we had seen Wiper disintegrating fast due to poor leadership and directorship”, said Muneve who succeeded Musyoka in Mwingi North constituency.

He said there is a lot of selfishness in Wiper citing the recent nomination of Kalonzo Musyoka son Kennedy to East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA).

” Yes the boy is from our area but why him yet there are many other qualified people in the constituency.

When will be people realize that political dynasty has gone with times”, asked Munuve.

During the meeting Kitui county Jubilee Campaign team chairman Caxton Munyoki handed over tickets  to parliamentary, senate , women representative and county assembly aspirants.

Among the parliamentary aspirants who got the certificates included Moses Banda ( Kitui Central), James Kiilu ( Kitui Rural), Mwende Mwanzia ( Mwingi West), Nimrod Mbai ( Kitui East), Sophia Khamis ( women Representative) and Rose Kameta ( Senator).
