Four women apprehended in Kibra over alleged voter bribery

Four women have been detained for allegedly bribing voters in Kibra Constituency.

Three of the four were arrested at Toi Primary School polling station while attempting to influence the voting exercise.

Gideon Ombogi, Kibra Deputy County Commissioner has confirmed the three are detained at Kibra Police Station.

The fourth suspect was arrested at Kenyatta market station accused of committing a similar electoral offense.

Police have launched further investigations to get to the bottom of the matter.

Authorities claim the suspects were agents allied to the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate in the Kibra parliamentary contest MacDonald Mariga.
