Uhuru, Ruto and Raila condole with CS Karoney’s family following father’s death
Deputy President William Ruto has sent his condolences to the family of Lands CS Faridah Karoney following the death of her father, Mzee Edward Kiprotich Karoney.
Ruto eulogised Mzee Karoney as a pillar, a role model, and a tireless servant of the community.
“Edward Kiprotich Karoney was a hardworking and progressive man who diligently offered counsel to society. Undoubtedly, his legacy will endure forever,” Ruto said.
ODM party leader Raila Odinga eulogised Mzee Karoney as a man who earned respect as a steady tea grower in Nandi County.
President Uhuru Kenyatta had earlier sent a message of comfort to the family.
Mzee Edward Kiprotich Karoney, 74, was knocked down on Tuesday evening by a boda boda rider while crossing the busy Kapsabet- Eldoret highway.

He was taken to the Kapsabet County Referral Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Mzee Karoney had just parked his vehicle in a shade and was crossing to attend an appointment when a speeding boda boda rider knocked him to the ground.
Several politicians, among them Nandi Governor Stephen Sang, went to the hospital to condole with family members.
Nandi county police commander Samson Ole Kinne said the matter is being investigated.
