Three dead, 10 injured after bus hits IED in Mandera County

Three people have been confirmed dead and 10 others injured after a bus they were travelling in hit an improvised explosive device (IED) in Koromey, Mandera County.
The bus was heading to Mandera Town from Lafey on Wednesday morning when it ran on an Improvised Explosive Devise .
10 of the passengers are said to be in critical condition and are receiving treatment at the Mandera County Referral Hospital.
Four among the 10 are currently admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
Police said they fear the number of casualties will increase. Mandera governor Ali Roba also confirmed the deaths.
The bus attack has happened barely three months after other landmine attacks were reported in the area.
It is believed the same group is behind the attack on the bus.
The gang fired two Rocket Propelled Grenades and fired several times into the Border Patrol Unit camp in Sheikh Barrow area before they were repulsed.
