Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) secretary general Wilson Sossion now wants ODM to remove his name from its parliamentary nomination list.
The combative Sossion said ODM can proceed to remove his name and choose another candidate (referring to Ruto) of their choice.
ODM had written to IEBC to have Sossion name replaced by that of outgoing Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto who was humbled by Joyce Laboso in the just concluded election.
According to reports appearing on local dailies, the ex-Bomet Governor had requested to be nominated to parliament where he would have assumed the position of minority leader.
