Single day countrywide police recruitment set for next week
The National Police Service (NPS) will next week undertake recruitment exercise of 5,000 police constables.
The exercise will be conducted on the same day countrywide on March 24, 2022.
According to public advertisement notice, the exercise that will kick off on Thursday next week at 8:00 am shall end at 5:00 pm.
Eligible candidates must meet all the mandatory requirements which include; being Kenyan citizenship, be within the age bracket of 18 and 28 years, have a minimum KCSE mean grade of D Plus and above with a D+ and above in either English or Kiswahili languages.
“I the Inspector General, in the exercise of powers delegated to me by the National Police Service Commission, seek to recruit 5,000 suitably qualified applicants to be trained as Police Constables,” read the statement by IG Hillary Mutyambai.
The IG has reiterated that those candidates without original documents shall not participate in the process.
Apart from an original KCSE result slip, other key documents required include; testimonials, Kenya National ID, applicant’s Birth Certificate and the KRA PIN Certificate.
Participants must also be physically and medically fit.
For women contestants, NPS insists that “They should not be pregnant at the time of recruitment and during the entire training period.”
NPS consequently cautioned all stakeholders to engage in corrupt activities or personification to face the law.
