Ruto has panicked and is already in campaign mode, MP Robert Mbui says
He defended the united opposition, saying it is the only solution available to rescue Kenyans
Kathiani MP Robert Mbui has accused President William Ruto of starting his campaigns early.
The MP has claimed that the President is not aiming at good governance but at surviving politically, adding that he is in a panic mode.
Mbui stated that the remarks by Ruto in the rallies that he has been holding while touring the country have been angering the public and they’ll wash his leadership down the drain.
“There is a lot of noise coming from President Ruto. I don’t know whether it’s the many advisors who have confused him, because he has gone into campaign mode, and it’s two years to the elections. I think he is in panic mode having realised that things are not as smooth as they once were. Some of the comments he is making are really irritating the public,” Mbui stated.
He defended the united opposition, saying it is the only solution available to rescue Kenyans.
“We are offering a solution to the problems Kenyans have been having. The president does not respect the Constitution of Kenya, and many of our solutions are in the constitution. If we follow it to the latter, a lot of our problems would be sorted out, even this issue of the cost of running the government,” he stated.
The remarks by the MP come after Ruto yesterday challenged his critics not to rely on protest slogans of ‘Ruto Must Go’.
He told them off as he suggested that they should offer tangible policy alternatives.
Ruto, who was on a tour of Migori, stated that he will dismantle the opposition early in the morning in the 2027 elections if they do not have a proper plan.
“I want to tell those people chanting ‘must go’, before you say ‘Ruto Must Go,’ first come up with policies for the people. The citizens want to know. We have plans to build roads; what have you planned? We are connecting electricity, we have affordable housing, and we are building markets too. What are your plans? ‘Must go’ is not enough, and it’s not a policy. Organise yourselves properly, otherwise we will dismantle you early and in broad daylight,” Ruto stated.
