While we hope for his recovery, we ask those spreading false information about his passing to halt and remove their posts… My brother is alive although in a critical condition,” stated Safina and Adil respectively on separate posts.
Asad had been admitted at Nairobi Hospital before he was transferred to Avenue Hospital due to excessive haemorrhage.
He was in urgent need of blood group either A+ or O+ according to medical reports.
Through a statement posted on Facebook account on Tuesday, the family appealed for a blood donation to the Safari rally driver leading to his admission to Avenue Hospital in Parklands, Nairobi.
“We wish to request all friends and well-wishers to kindly keep him in your prayers. The hospital team at Avenue hospital ICU require five pints of blood group A+ or O+ for his ongoing treatment,” part of the statement read.
Investigators handling the case had yesterday requested that Maxine be detained for 14 days to ascertain Asad Khan condition, obtain call data from the survivor and accused’s mobile phones for analysis and conduct DNA tests of the blood samples.
Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi went ahead to grant Sh100,000 bail to the accused following her Tuesday, December 13 morning arrest and was ordered to be reporting to the Kilimani police station every Monday until investigations into the matter is concluded.

The Senior Principal Magistrate encouraged barring the two individuals’ names while permitting coverage of yesterday’s events. The magistrate further restricted the media from using their images while deliberating on whether to allow the application this morning.
The cause of the near-fatal confrontation is said to be the act by Maxine Wahome to stay out late hanging with friends on Monday night and get home early on Tuesday in Kileleshwa, Nairobi which according to police, upset her boyfriend Asad Khan.
Kenyans have continued to express their anger over the incident including on online platforms which have expressed their dissatisfaction of how the involved stakeholders have continued to handle the situation.
