PS Kilemi challenges Cooperative CEOs to be champions of inclusive and sustainable development 

Cooperatives and MSMEs Principal Secretary Patrick Kilemi has challenged Chief Executive Officers of cooperative societies to embrace their roles as champions of inclusive and sustainable development driven by innovation.

Speaking during the recent 20th National Cooperative CEOs Workshop held at a Mombasa hotel, Kilemi emphasised the importance of innovation in driving the success of cooperatives, encouraging participants to lead with foresight and a commitment to community-driven growth.

“This is a unique opportunity for cooperative leaders to engage in transformative conversations and share insights that will help shape the future of the cooperative sector,” Kilemi said during his keynote address.

Themed “Leading Beyond the Horizon,” the event, organised by Co-operative Bank of Kenya, brought together visionary CEOs of the most successful cooperative societies from across the country.

The three-day event provided powerful insights, thought leadership, and transformative conversations that will shape the future of cooperatives!

It was designed to encourage collaboration, innovation, and strategic thinking to ensure the future success of cooperatives across Kenya.

Co-operative Bank, which is majority owned by cooperative societies, is known for providing platforms for leaders in the sector to expand their knowledge and leadership capabilities.
