Presidential petition hearing kicks off at Supreme Court

The mention of the presidential election petition filed by Nasa has started at the Supreme Court.

The parties: the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, its chairman Wafula Chebukati, Nasa and President Uhuru Kenyatta have been directed to file their list of contested and non-contested issues.

The parties have appeared before Supreme Court Registrar Esther Nyaiyaki.

Jubilee Party says it has five issues for determination while Nasa has 28 issues to be addressed by the court.

On the other hand, IEBC has two issues.

They are: whether Uhuru Kenyatta was validly elected and declared the winner and the reliefs to be granted by the Supreme Court.
