President Ruto ask KDF to broaden its scope of work beyond defense, security

President Williams Ruto has asked the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) to broaden its scope of work beyond defense and security.

Presiding over the 11th anniversary of KDF day held at the Laikipia Air Base in Nanyuki, Ruto said Kenya was in urgent need for transformation that called for collective efforts.

” You have seized the opportunity of engaging with the citizenry as a platform to articulate our aspirations. Now, you should put your workshops to work for the greater national effort,” the President noted,” he said.

Ruto laid a wreath at Laikipia Air Base monument in honor of KDF’s fallen heroes and heroines.

Afterward inspected a Guard of Honor mounted by Kenya Air Force.

The theme for this year’s is “Solder Centric Approaches Towards Upscaling Mission Readiness”
