Four suspected robbers were killed in a shoot out on Lang’ata Road and an AK47 rifle recovered in a dawn operation.
The four had been trailed from Kayole by detectives attached to Kayole and Buruburu who raised their Karen counterparts. When they reached WaterMark Area, a team of officers from hardy Police Station flagged them down but defied.
An AK47 rifle serial number 0440, a magazine and eight rounds of ammunition of 7.62mmm special were recovered.
“There was credible information the four were in a robbery mission in Karen area,” a senior police officer said.
An Infinix mobile phone and Sh2,500 were also recovered. The Toyota Probox they were driving KBN 193R and suspected to have been stolen elsewhere was towed to Hardy Police Station.
