Paul Kobia now wants kidnap case against him settled out of out
Businessman Paul Kobia who is facing charges of kidnapping and assaulting a Congolese businessman now wants to settle the matter out of court.
When the case was mentioned on Friday before Milimani Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi, Kobia told the court that he has agreed with the complainant to settle the matter out of court.
However, the magistrate gave him until May 16, to bring the complainant and investigating officer in court to confirm the claims of out of court settlement.
Kobia is charged along side his four bodyguards namely Alvin Anzaya, Nelson Moyi, John Mutwiri and Martin Mwangi that on March 9,2 017 they abducted Congolese businessman Bachard Londole at Super Lodge along Kindaruma road in Nairobi county and took him to Kobia’s house along Muzima springs in Kileleshwa.
The businessman alone is facing charges of kidnapping, assault and unlawfully firing in the air using his licenced firearm. He is accused of having been disorderly while carrying a firearm on the same date at Body Zone Spa and Lounge along Kindaruma road in Kilimani, Nairobi.
All the accused persons are out on cash bail of Sh 500,000 each.
