Nyamira Jubilee aspirants want party officials removed
Jubilee aspirants from Nyamira County have demanded for the immediate removal of the county party interim officials accusing them of conning some of their colleagues to onstensibly influence the party headquarters to give them direct nomination.
The aspirants for the seats of the members of parliament, women rep and the county assembly claimed that the officials were demanding a minimum of Sh100,000 so that they can secure them direct nominations for any of the three seats.
Led by advocate Charles Mongare Ongoto who is contesting for the West Mugirango parliamentary seat, they said that most affected are those aspiring for the seats of members of the county Assembly.
Speaking to reporters in Nyamira town today, Ongoto said that he had been approached by one official by the name Dan Mokua over the same but declined because he understands how the party mechanism operates. Ongoto also accused the officials of denying the aspirants the party membership cards which they could given to their supporters a ground which they were using to con them.
He also said that the officials were operating from private offices and yet still the party headquarters had given them Sh2 million for the renting and furnishing the party office and called for their investigation over the matter .
