NCIC doing nothing to tame hatemongers- Mututho

Nakuru gubernatorial aspirant John Mututho has lashed at the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) for not doing enough to fight against hate speech perpetrated by politicians.
Addressing the press in Bondeni Estate, Nakuru town, Mututho said many politicians have been perpetrating hate messages in their political campaigns yet no legal action has been taken against them.
Mututho who is vying as an independent candidate said the politicians have become too loose with their mouths despite the existence of laws that prohibit them from inciting Kenyans.
He called on the major rivals, National Super Alliance (NASA) and Jubilee Party (JP) to practice tolerance during their campaigns to ensure there is political stability in the country during the electioneering period.
He challenged both factions to engage in policy competition which, according to Mututho, none has clearly outlined.

He called on the opposition to cease fire against the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, IEBC to avoid throwing the country into a constitutional crisis.
