National Parks, Reserves and Sanctuaries to close at 5pm in the locked counties

Kenya Wildlife Service(KWS) has today said that National Parks, Reserves and Sanctuaries will now remain open from 6 am to 5 pm.
In a statement, KWS said that Parks, Reserves and Sanctuaries that fall under the disease infested counties, will close all picnic sites and other sites where visitors have a tendency to congregate.
“KWS wishes to inform members of the public that all National Parks, Reserves and Sanctuaries remain open from 6am, with an adjusted closing time of 5pm with strict observance of Ministry of Health Covid-19 protocols,” read the statement.
Those measures are for the 5 disease infected counties which are; Nairobi, Kiambu, Kajiado, Machakos and Nakuru.
KWS stepped up measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in National Parks and Reserve in line with the President’s directives.
Parks, Reserves and Sanctuaries in all other counties are open but KWS said it will continue to enforce the set Covid-19 protocols.
