The Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company(NCWSC) has announced a two days water disruption advisory along Uhuru Highway in Nairobi.
The water supply pipeline will be shut from tomorrow 6:00am on to Friday at 6:00am.
“This will facilitate interconnection of the relocated new and old water pipelines on Uhuru Highway between Haile Selassie avenue and Bunyala road junctions to enable the release of the road corridor to the expressway road contractor,” read part of the statement.
Among areas to be affected include; the whole city centre, areas along Mombasa road, South B and C areas, University of Nairobi main campus, JKIA, Nairobi Central Business District.
Others are; Coca Cola Factory, EPZ Athi River, the whole industrial area, areas along Jogoo road, City stadium, Maringo, Bahati, Buruburu and the surrounding estates.
The company has appealed to affected for indulgence and also urge them to use available water supply sparingly.
This comes weeks after the company disrupted water supply along Waiyaki Way in Nairobi.
Areas affected were estates along Waiyaki Way, Rhapta Road, Parklands Road and Church Road Westlands, Highridge and Parklands areas.
Nairobi School, MP Shah Hospital, Muguga Green Estate, Sarit Centre and the surrounding estates were also be affected.
