MP released on Sh15000 cash bail in assault case

Konoin MP Leonard Yegon on Friday denied assaulting a youth at Kapset trading centre in Bomet county.

Yegon pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared before Sotik principal magistrate Bernard Omwansa.

The MP was accused that on October 14, he unlawfully assaulted Ngetich Kipsang, thereby, occasioning him actual bodily harm.

Yegon presented himself to Konoin DCI offices on Saturday last week after he was summoned.
