Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi tests positive for Covid-19

Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi has tested positive for coronavirus.

Meru County Health CEC Misheck Mutuma said that the governor is in self-isolation and responding well.

He said that the county has been experiencing a surge in cases.

Mutuma advised the public to strictly adhere to health protocols of keeping social distance, washing of hands and wearing masks.

His diagnosis comes just a week after he got the Covid-19 vaccine jab.
