Nakuru County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has threatened to sack doctors who have not yet reported to work following President Uhuru Kenyatta’s order.
Speaking at Molo Level Four hospital during the weekend, Mbugua said he will not cow from implementing the executive directive in the next few days since the decision was made at national level during the fourth devolution conference in Naivasha.
“Doctors who will not resume duty will lose their jobs and new ones employed. This move has the backing of both levels of government,” Mbugua said.
He urged the doctors to get back to their respective work stations to pave way for fresh negotiations while they continue to serve Kenyans who have been suffering at their homes as the strike is about to hit a hundred days.
